Pepa Ubera
Pepa Ubera (1981 Spain) is an artist, originally from Spain, she has been based in London since 2003. In her performance practice she embraces different medias working mainly with choreography, video and light. From 2015 – 2018 Pepa was one of the Sadler’s Wells Summer University artists. She has twice been awarded a Dance Web Scholarship at the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna showing her work in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain. From 2013-2015 she was a core member of TripSpace projects where she organised monthly nights of performance and professional class including the curation of a performance festival in collaboration with the Hayward Gallery. She has presented work in the UK, Europe, Chile and Australia. In 2017 Ellipsis Land opened the first TATE’s Live Exhibition: Ten Days Six Nights at the Tanks in March and returned to Sadler’s Wells Theatre last November. She also received two commissions to present work at the Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire and NOW Gallery in London.
Florine Lindner works as a dramaturg for dance, performance, fine art and as a journalist. In 2018 she worked alongside Soren Evinson on the performance “A Nation Is Born In Me”, which has been shown in Spain and France. Previously Florine worked as a journalist in public radio producing features on socio-cultural themes. She has contributed to many documentary film productions across Europe and the Middle East. She draws from her experience as a journalist and uses field research and interview-encounters, allowing the research to form and alter the work radically. Recently she interviewed over 200 people for an art project including prisoners, sexworkers and priests. Florine studied performance in philosophy in Vienna and lives in Berlin.
